Avebury - 6000 Years

A 17th-century tithe barn is the setting for this visitor centre, at one of the National Trust’s most popular sites.

It brings to life the mysteries of the Neolithic world, as well as the story of the people who discovered, investigated, recorded and excavated the 6000 year-old monuments. The design solution was based on a processional journey from sacred circle to sacred circle – influenced by the Neolithic landscape in which they are part.
