Furneaux Stewart has been working closely with Royal Armouries to develop interactive ways to engage visitors.
The first phase opened in the War Galleries in Leeds and has proven to be a real success both with visitors and staff. The concepts were then customised to suit the very different environment of the Tower and its huge visitor numbers. Here, the story of arms and armour has been linked to the history of the White Tower itself – first as a power base for William 1, then as a royal palace, a military
store and finally a tourist attraction.
