Snowdonia National Park

At 1085m, this unique building is the highest in the UK and must respond to one of the most extreme climatic locations in the world.

Winner of the prestigious RIBA award, the building has been carefully sculpted using natural stone to reduce its visual and wind signature. Furneaux Stewart has been part of the team which created the visitor centre, providing integrated interpretation, both internally and externally, to complement the sense of place on the mountain and the sustainable nature of the building.
